Wonderful both in the original version and the cover by Dinosaur Jr. The first time I heard it, I was taken aback by the ending. Then I came to terms with it. more
Fabulous point. They could have continued to make a mess (a great mess!) like in the early days and be one of the many great bands of the British Invasion. But the boys were different, a unique band thanks to that wonderful storyteller, Ray. Their internal affairs were an epic tale, with the stormy (but truly loving) relationship between the cursed Dave, a womanizer and a mess, and the absolute despot Ray, the creator of unparalleled greatness. They managed to pair delightfully sad albums telling us about old England with raucous and fiery performances. "My brother is a big jerk," but only I can tell him that. more
