Justin Bieber
The lowest rating I can give is 1, so... No, but seriously, I mean, isn't it already obvious to everyone how useless / annoying / pretentious / sold-out / horrible / grating it is without having to say it? more
Premiata Forneria Marconi -Come Ti Va In Riva Alla Città
Not overly inspired, however, it confirms the group's willingness to adapt to the new musical climate of the '80s. Unlike "Suonare Suonare," this time there aren't any truly successful tracks; perhaps "Weekend" and "Quartiere 8." Mussida's guitar shines, demonstrating his ability to effortlessly adjust to a more pop and commercial sound. more
Paramore
One cannot give them a 5 for obvious reasons, nor a 4 because they do still blend third-wave emo rock with a bit of pop, but a 3 is deserved because what they do, they do well and without being pretentious; on the contrary. And anyone who says their voice is unpleasant either only listens to Queen or prefers "Lieber Honig" by Neu! because they're a Scaruffian parrot who we’ve had just about enough of. more
Rammstein
Pure crap 100% Made in Germany! more
Cairo -Conflict and dreams
The best of a trilogy of albums that redefine American Prog: all the usual references from across the Atlantic are present, but the listening experience flows with emotions, beautiful melodies, and remarkable technique. The premature death of the excellent vocalist Bret Douglas extinguishes the spark of an underrated band. more
Vasco Rossi -Non Siamo Mica Gli Americani
When people say, "it was better before"... not really, this Vasco here annoys me just as much as the current one. The album only holds up a little thanks to "Albachiara" and "La Strega," but the rest is incredibly boring. I remember that song about his military service that was just a drip-drip of agony. The best Rossi (which is like saying: the least stinky shit) is somewhere between "Siamo Solo Noi" and "Vado Al Massimo." more
Franco Battiato
I have always been struck by the pre-Alexandrian sense of possession. more
Laura Pausini
Marco, why didn't you take her with you instead of leaving her here to quack the same reason for 20 years? more
Elio e le Storie Tese
When fooling around turns into serious business! more
Le Orme -Venerdì
The album is produced well and also original... the inspiration isn’t necessarily exceptional, however, it’s worth noting the desire to evolve and find their place within the challenging '80s for these heroes of Italian progressive music.
Nonetheless, it's an interesting piece in the context of a sought-after career that will later see them resurface with a series of successful works.
I haven't listened to the album in a while, but I will revisit it... among the tracks, I remember, besides Marinai, Biancaneve... more
Garbo -Scortati
Stunning from the first to the last note... there’s nothing to say, yes okay the sound is derivative but what does it matter. I’ll listen to it again and come back for a more complete comment. Rating 4.5 more
Pavement
I was dressed for success, but success never comes. more
Matia Bazar -Tango
A quite original album, at least in Italy at the time, followed closely by the subsequent Aristocratica. Classy Synth-Pop, it completes the turning point initiated with the previous album, delivering us the most original Matia Bazar... a shift caused by the departure of Piero Cassano. Antonella Ruggiero delivers a top-notch performance. In reality, the rating is 4.5. more
Eduardo De Crescenzo
"because since that night he hasn’t made love anymore".........but is it our fault that the girl hasn’t given it to him again....and he has to bother us for 30 years? Sanremo 1981 - Eduardo De Crescenzo - Ancora  more

The Rolling Stones -Exile On Main Street
Following the long-standing issue, I would say that while the Beatles are the praline meringues of pop(ular) music, the Rolling Stones are the hot bean stew. more
Justin Bieber
Throwing up in the cleaning bucket at the back of a restaurant... Very rock'n'roll, there's no denying it. Of course, I'm not judging it musically. It would be like if I were a great linguist just because I know four words in German. more
Dr. John -Locked Down
Great piece of groove, a generous 3.5 more
The Waterboys -Fisherman's Blues
There are at least four tracks on this album that are worth entire discographies. One is definitely "And A Bang On The Ear"... more
Television -Marquee Moon
With a different singer, it would have rightfully entered the list of my all-time favorites... what a pity, we're just a bit away from the immense. more
