After All: After All

Rumor has it they resemble the Doors, but I don’t think so that much, eh. An organ isn’t enough to say "Doors."
They certainly were some rainbow-haired longhairs, maybe with pit stains, the usual very fiki who vanished after just one album.
Bill Moon (vocals, bass), Charlie Short (guitar), Alan Gold (Hammond organ, piano), Mark Ellerbee (drums)
Pretty good!

CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Despite the indifference of their recent works (which I found forced), this pleasantly struck me. In some ways, the passage of time is palpable; it’s undeniable. Mimì's voice has changed, it has lost some thickness and warmth, but not its peculiar expressiveness. The others in the group no longer have that slightly angry grit from the past. Resignation is the theme of the album, perfectly balanced between lyrics and music that harmonize well with the voice. It makes me think of the Massimo Volume of Da qui or Lungo i bordi but in a more mature key (age-wise speaking). It was seriously the best Italian album of 2019, and not just of that year. #forse

Second album by the Germans Message, a prog-kraut-sticatzi bomb with clear Sabbath influences? Yes?! What matters is that it needs to be listened to.

What intrigues me the most is the sticatzian influence mixed with prog-kraut.

I know, the sticatzianity always attracts the attention of those who can appreciate it. I do things and see things, hi higigi!

A shining example of local prog. A fairy-tale world populated by animals and dreamlike visions, delicate and witty, never banal. If you really don't want to listen to it, at least let your little ones enjoy it before their nap, in anticipation of future listens...
