THE REVIEW

It's 1969 when the Beatles, after masterpieces like Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper, and the White Album, release what can be considered their last album: Abbey Road.

Seeing that many considered this last album to be the group's best, I decided to listen to it and today, after having listened to it over and over, I can say that for me Abbey Road is not at all the best Beatles album and indeed it surprises with its weakness.

Let's proceed in order: the album consists of two sides.

The first side opens with two great tracks ("Come Together" and "Something") and continues with tracks like "Oh Darling!", "Octopus’s Garden" and "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" which, although not exceptional, are nonetheless enjoyable.

The second side, on the other hand, except for "Here Comes The Sun" and "Because," is entirely composed of a medley of trivial, weak little songs that even give the impression of being incomplete… and it is these very little songs that, along with "Her Majesty" (a "song" which in my opinion could have easily been avoided), constitute the real problem of this album.

In short, Abbey Road relies exclusively on the famous cover and on 2/3 tracks that then became some of the most famous Beatles tracks ever and at least as far as I'm concerned, even though it’s not terrible, this album is certainly not up to the level of their previous works.

Summary by Bot

This review challenges the popular opinion that Abbey Road is the Beatles' best album. It praises tracks like 'Come Together' and 'Here Comes The Sun' but criticizes the medley side for being weak and incomplete. The reviewer feels the album depends too much on its iconic cover and a few standout tracks, falling short compared to the band’s earlier masterpieces.

Paul is the only one differing from the other FAB 4, walking barefoot with the right foot leading—clues to his alleged death.

Abbey Road is dominated by Paul’s particular state of grace, especially in the final majestic medley that builds a sober but flashy mosaic.

This album is mainly famous for its cover, which portrays the 4 boys from Liverpool as they were heading towards their futures.

In short, a great album that demonstrates how this group created unforgettable things.

"Abbey Road is the true masterpiece of rock music, it is certainly the album that has influenced rock music the most."

"The track 'The End' is of astonishing beauty because it mixes a sort of primitive punk, rock, and a beautiful slow bit at the end. Absolute masterpiece."

Abbey Road was released, the last (but not last) of the 12 albums published by the Beatles.

Come Together has become a generational anthem and is electrifyingly beautiful.

"In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make."
