THE REVIEW

We are in 1969, the last year of life for the historic band The Beatles.

"Abbey Road" was released between "Yellow Submarine" and the final "Let it Be" and it is, in my opinion, one of the best works of this band. The album cover is undoubtedly one of the most famous in rock history and contains a hidden message that seems to say Paul McCartney died in a car accident.
The rock of the 70s was born from this album and from innovative tracks like "Come Together", a piece that is decidedly perfect in all its parts with Lennon showcasing all his musical talents.
There are also tracks from the other two members of the BAND (uppercase for the greatness this band has had in history).

George Harrison writes two pieces, "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun", two tracks decisively less experimental than those on "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". The first song is a beautiful ballad that warms the heart, the second is also a ballad, but faster and less "sad" than "Something".
Ringo Starr writes "Octopus's Garden" (is he obsessed with the sea?) a song very similar to "Yellow Submarine", somewhat simplistic, but with a nice electric guitar. McCartney sings in the first half of the album "Maxwell's Silver Hammer", a very British song, reminiscent of "When I'm Sixty-Four" and "You Never Give Me Your Money", a beautiful ballad in a “McCartney style” (he's made hundreds of songs like this in his career) with the addition of a John Lennon interlude that speeds up the rhythm and turns the song into a rock piece with a brilliant electric guitar.

John also sings "Oh! Darling", a very 50s rock song in the BB King style (it reminds me of "Stand By Me") and the innovative "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" which, with its hammering repetition, can perhaps be considered the first true Alternative-Rock song.
"Because" is a very strange track where everything is absurd, the voices, the distorted "harpsichord" and the lyrics (completely delirious and nonsensical) are still noteworthy for their daring experimentation, as they were the first to try this type of song. The album continues with a single long song divided into 7 magnificent pieces:
"Sun King", a slow piece where Lennon sings in Spanish; "Mean Mr. Mustard", a somewhat strange song that didn’t particularly stand out to me; &em>Polythene Pam", a great piece that manages to mix early rock with something innovative (perhaps due to the electric guitar?), continuing with "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window", a track similar to the previous one, only slower and with a change of voice (first Lennon and then McCartney).

"Golden Slumbers" is the beginning of the end, a magnificently slow piece where the voices of the two singers blend together, but it is certainly McCartney who creates the greatest effect at the beginning and end of the track with that beautiful vocal melody.
"Carry That Weight" merges with the end of "Golden Slumbers", but doesn’t convince much due to its repetitiveness, as it reprises "You Never Give Me Your Money", only changing the lyrics. We have reached the song that I believe represents one of the milestones of world music "The End", a wonderful piece that presents us with the punk rock for the first time, yes exactly the kind of Green Day. They were the first to invent punk, but they still didn’t realize it. The track is of astonishing beauty because it mixes a sort of primitive punk, rock, and a beautiful slow bit at the end. Absolute masterpiece. "Her Majesty" is a very brief country piece, very strange, that could have been easily avoided.

In conclusion, "Abbey Road" is the true masterpiece of rock music, it is certainly the album that has influenced rock music the most. Masterpiece.

Paul is the only one differing from the other FAB 4, walking barefoot with the right foot leading—clues to his alleged death.

Abbey Road is dominated by Paul’s particular state of grace, especially in the final majestic medley that builds a sober but flashy mosaic.

This album is mainly famous for its cover, which portrays the 4 boys from Liverpool as they were heading towards their futures.

In short, a great album that demonstrates how this group created unforgettable things.

Abbey Road was released, the last (but not last) of the 12 albums published by the Beatles.

Come Together has become a generational anthem and is electrifyingly beautiful.

"Abbey Road, despite everything, is a work of overwhelming charm, rich with exceptional pieces of pure rock."

"In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make."

Between this record and any other, there is a chasm not to be found in the individual songs but in the magic and surreal balance of the whole.

With side B of Abbey Road, music reaches the top and from that moment on, it can only descend.
