Umberto Tozzi Domentica Dimentica

Those who have never seen Umberto Tozzi in Udine, with a supergroup including the remarkable Lee Ritenour on guitar (don’t know who he was? Not my fault), don’t know the emotion my girlfriend at the time, a true fan of Tozzi, experienced.
And neither did I.
I had just enjoyed the "Banana Repubblic" Tour and never would have imagined that a few months later I would witness a performance that reached the sound quality of the best Toto.
It was fantastic!
With the initial riff of "Stella Stai," I leapt into the air like a schoolgirl experiencing her first dampness, because that riff is a riff! You just have to listen to it!

Then, in this piece, Umberto sat at the piano: my girlfriend, Sabrina, clung tightly to me because she feared that her God would go out of tune during the falsetto passage.
But no.
A spine-tingling performance!

There exists a double live vinyl of that Tour, which I bought and gifted to Sabrina, saving on my snack money.

That’s how I rolled. Eh.

Thirteen to thirty (46)

Johnny B. Goode

If I think that it was released as a single when he was my age, it's definitely one of the most thirteen-to-thirty pieces that there can be.

Johnny the Fox meets Jimmy the Weed

The Countess reminded me of them... beautiful story, dear Phil, just like in the old days...

L.A. WITCH 'KILL MY BABY TONIGHT' (Official Live Video)

L.A. WITCH - Baby in Blue Jeans (Official Video)

We break the 2010 deadline, vs our days for these lovely girls. In their immense, nobly mediocre technicality, they fill us with so many feelings: Garage-punk-psychedelia-Country-Sto ner. Gun Club and Black Sabbath, a dusty Johnny Cash, Josh Homme or the Magnetic Monsters thirsty in the desert, Velvetian and Doorsian atmospheres, and so much Hope SANDOVAL in Mazzy Star...

A very intriguing debut...
