... Four Symbols"... The famous four graphic symbols (five, to be precise, since Sandy had to choose her own) that would take on the role of the title of the work is yet another idea from Page. The meaning of those symbols has always been shrouded - look at that - in mystery, and Page's explanations were often misleading.
"... In the end, this whole story was just another ploy to throw the media into chaos. We all had a good laugh when the album entered the charts and they had to use those symbols instead of a title." Indeed, another ploy to create smoke. Yes, because if there was one area where the LZ were masters, it was in surrounding many of their moves with mystery. To this day, this matter remains unresolved; there are various interpretations, and that’s exactly what our beloved wizard guitarist hoped for. Just like the different possible meanings that have been ascribed to the lyrics of "Stairway T

I'm a child of South Africa
I'm a child of Vietnam
I'm a child of Northern Ireland
- I'm a child of Aleppo -
I'm a small boy with blood on his hands
Yes I'm a child of the universe
Yes I'm a child of the universe
You can see me on the TV every night
Always there to join in someone else's fight
I didn't ask to be born
And I don't ask to die
I'm an endless dream
A gene machine that cannot reason why
Yes I'm a child of the universe
Yes I'm a child of the universe
You can see me on the TV every day
I'm the child next door three thousand miles away

#spaghetti (15) Sergio Leone - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) Il Buono Il Brutto e Il Cattivo Theme Song

In my opinion, this is the true masterpiece of the Dollar Trilogy. Written as always by Age & Scarpelli. During the Civil War, the stories of three characters intertwine as they hunt for a treasure buried in a cemetery. Ironic, brilliant, ruthless. Super-super-masterpiece.

Music by Ennio Morricone. Of course.

And to give substance to this idea, continuing from a thread by hjhhjij, I will include one of my pieces below.

Anyone who wants can add their own piece as a "listening comment" to this.

There are no limits on the day you participate, the number of pieces, or genres, as long as what follows is related to the previous one, provided that both are from the same genre, involve the same musician in different formations or times, or are from the same significant event (e.g., some famous concert), etc.

I will then leave it to those who follow to take the discussion wherever they like, while respecting a few simple rules…

So, while waiting for many of you to join, I will share my first piece, hoping that yours will be plentiful…

King Crimson - The Sailors Tale (1971)

If I may give a piece of advice to all those listening to music from 30€ computer speakers: link rotto do it right now! There are definitely better options out there; you're not investing in a professional studio, but at that price, you won't find anything even remotely comparable. Order them, wrap them up, and unwrap them at Christmas.
