First listen on the highway in Bavaria, returning from Munich, late summer of 2002. It was raining.
It's incredible how many radios play classical music in Germany; when you come across the first station that plays something different, there's an urge to stop. Whatever they play.
Soon enough, the bombardment hit us too, despite (or thanks to?) the barrage of boos after the kiss at the Festivalbar.
An eternal piece, a story of Russian pop (which indeed has its own story, of course).

Tommy Bolin - Dreamer

His brief career was cut short back in 1976 at the young age of twenty-five due to an overdose. He is often remembered for being the replacement of Richard Hugh Blackmore in Deep Purple. Tommy contributed to the hard blues scene with Zephyr, to the jazz of master Billy Cobham (Spectrum), and even to the somewhat country-influenced hard rock of the James Gang. In his first solo album "Teaser" from '75, Tommy blends the classic elements of his blues repertoire with the sound that he would later bring to Deep Purple and nothing...
