Changing Heart
A reunion after each had taken different paths. The album is in chiaroscuro, some beautiful tracks and others less so, among the former this one by Gene Clark. He and Chris Hillman were always a bit in the background compared to Crosby and McGuinn, not for me. The piece is superb (for me).

It’s Hemingway's youth when nothing could ever go wrong. But “then came the bad season”…

“Writing is easy, all you have to do is sit down at the typewriter and bleed”…

While writing A Moveable Feast, he realizes he can no longer bleed and writes to a friend: “My friend, it’s my most beautiful book but I can’t finish it… I’m close… one page, maybe just one sentence”…

And when he realizes he can no longer bleed, he takes a rifle, puts it in his mouth, and kills himself…

No life without words… “then came the bad season”…

No life without emotions, I add…

Two great tracks, one is a nice ethyl Stones-style and Butcher is Fast Eddi which is a crazy boogie-blues, bastard as it should be...
