L'Armando .. yes, I know it was posted recently, but I need it to color what happened to me at noon.. Driving downtown in my car alongside an old Passat driven by a gray-haired gentleman in his eighties with a checkered shirt and a beige fishing vest (like one of those with a thousand pockets, you know..) We both slow down at the crosswalk; I look at him, he looks at me.. He seems hot, in fact he is, to the point that sweat is beading on his forehead.. We proceed towards the traffic light side by side. Green-yellow-red! Stop, we both stop, dutifully. I have my windows down and the music blasting in my ears. He, next to me, once stopped, already with his window down, decided to open the driver’s door wide to let in some fresh air and obviously prevent any kind of passing.. At the next traffic light, he did exactly the same thing, and that’s when I thought his name was Armando! .. even though to be honest, he didn’t fall out.. Who knows, maybe it happened at the next light, but we unfortunately took two different roads.. Yes, I know it’s nothing special, but I thought it was cute to remember it!
