Dear Mr. Fantasy
They will never separate us.

Slint - Spiderland (Full Album)

Can you write an album like this at 20 years old, living in an American provincial town, and make it one of the cornerstones of post-punk with only 50,000 copies sold? It was released today, 30 years ago, and at the time, unknowingly (or maybe they did), it was already three decades ahead.

It's Immaterial - White Man's Hut (Live on BBC Radio 1's John Peel Show)
Top version from Peel of another single from the early days.

It's Immaterial - A Gigantic Raft In The Philippines
One of the most precious bands of the indie scene, a term that may suit the album "Life's hard and then you die" but is certainly too tight for "Song," a magnificent record from a deserted island with hints of Blue Nile's "Hats" and Prefab Sprout's "Jordan: The Comeback."
This is one of the first singles that came out in that England amused by the fusion/clash of punk with indie.

This morning I feel like messing with you.
5) Neil Young - On the Beach: 1974

3) Pink Floyd - Animals: 1977
2) E, L & P - Pictures at an Exhibition: 1971
1) Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare: 2007
Now. Except for that crap from the Arctic Monkeys, it's all stuff from old-timers. You’re discriminating against the tutausend people, it’s pretty obvious!
And indeed, only the youngsters over 75 win your contest with rich prizes and party favors. Even @[lector] turns out to be too young for this geriatric game!
Get yourself together.
