Do you like the atmospheres of Portishead and the street soul funk of the 2000s? In 2003, Go! Beat released this masterpiece.

Highly recommended, especially during these hours as they transition from evening to night.

At minute 3:27, chills.

Diana Ross & The Supremes "I'm Livin' In Shame" on The Ed Sullivan Show

#edsullivanshow

From 1948 to 1971, every Sunday night Ed Sullivan hosted the greatest and most famous artists on his show, broadcast on CBS.
About ten years ago, re-released in 12 DVDs, an Italian newspaper published the best performances. I'm sharing them again; there are truly wonderful things.

I don't know if the scent of the notes smells more like corn (called "melgòt" in my area, 90% of the cultivation) compared to others, and that's why I like them more, but for me, between them and, let's say, other unapologetic Southerners from the '70s, from the closest ones like Lynyrd to the more distant and justly acclaimed blues rockers of the Allman Brothers, I definitely prefer them. Steady State

I returned there
where I had never been.
Nothing, from how it was not, has changed.
On the table (on the checked oilcloth) half
I found the glass
never filled. Everything
still remains as
I had never left it.

All the places I’ve seen,

I now know – I’m sure of it:
I’ve never been there.

In general, I avoid tribute compilations, names collected without any logic. Instead, I can't speak poorly (almost) of this 1987 tribute—a nice list of names, many now gone, who do their job with sometimes good results, also because many of these bands owe a lot to the good Syd, and it’s right to pay tribute to him by carefully covering one of his tracks. With its ups and downs, it's enjoyable to listen to and makes you want to dig up names that were on the lips of those following the psychedelic and underground garage scene in the 80s. To you:

In my opinion, it's a good album, an even better track.

For me, a new name discovered on Y.T. from the two tracks, I realized they play an electric folk, I think it's from the second half of the 70s, with a female voice. I can't say more, so anyone with information is welcome.

Stefano Rosso - Bologna '77.
I take the liberty of starting a column with the 10 most beautiful songs by Stefano Rosso, so they are always talked about.
A song that speaks of ideals, violence, massacres, hopes, and illusions... with a final warning that, whether one agrees or not, always sends shivers down the spine.
