Perry Leopold - Experiment In Metaphysics (1970) [FULL ALBUM]
I have to be honest, I don't find any new psych/folk albums worth paying attention to. Many are built on solid riffs, but the ideas are lacking; there’s no construction of a piece that captivates the listener. A moment of stagnation?
So I look back, hoping that this wind will change soon.
I've stepped away from electronics and all its tentacles for a while; maybe experimentation is simpler?

Rollerball - Escape
Florentine band with a miraculous EP forgotten by time. An original heavy sound leaning towards speed, accompanied by a shocking voice that surpasses the heights of Halford. After this work, they released another EP leaning towards more punk sounds, which unfortunately did not live up to the debut.

Reheated soup. It seems to me like an artist who said everything with the first album "Antiphon" and continues to endlessly repeat the same formula. It's a shame, because he's also good at making rap (but there's too little of it in the album).

Exposition of an intriguing dialogue on the line "Taste becomes summery in short sleeves while examining the Venus de Milo":
a sick friend of mine has proposed that this line might mean: the spectators of the Venus feel wild with desire when they see her... which is absolutely plausible, considering that good Pasqualino Panella always has a taste for including erotic references in his lyrics. Now, however, I want to know: 1. Am I the only one who has reached this conclusion now? 2. Is this interpretation objectively plausible?

Royal Air Force - Storytellers
Another great band from Milan with the famous Mario Riso on drums (those who followed Rock TV will certainly know him). While in America bands like Poison and Mötley Crüe offered nothing but mainstream kitsch, in Italy there were excellent bands like them and Dark Lord (with a recording that is certainly not polished, adding that extra vintage touch).
