Pat Metheny Film Scores: Fandango

Yesterday was the anniversary, I think.
But to me, dates, anniversaries, ceremonies, and all that kind of stuff have never mattered a damn.
I went to my father's funeral in 1992 out of respect for my mom. But that will be the last one.
Including my own, obviously.
I've already made appropriate testamentary provisions for an irreproachable person, so everyone can feast on a small part of my significant assets without having to go to a cemetery.

Back to Kyle: an incredible person, believe me.
Pat may seem like someone who lives above good and evil: but first Jaco, then Charlie, then Lyle... Damn!
He would take down even the best Muhammad Ali.

Forgive me for the confessions.

La Casa Di Hilde

If you haven’t done it yet (but I really don’t think so), give it a listen. This is one of the very few cover albums that has more than just a meaning: both for the reasons behind it and for its execution. Beautifully tight arrangements, just the right amount of tension, almost minimal - something I’ve always appreciated about Carboni, at least from his early period - and a tremendous love and respect for the material being covered. There’s also a small cameo by Claudio Lolli (one of the last, I think) in the final part of the video "Ho visto anche degli zingari felici".

Oh, the piece? Extraordinary. For me, no one could do it better.

@[Cassandra96] one of my favorite tracks by the band!! It rocks live... hq anathema sleepless

An almost impossible attempt at a semi-serious journey through the discography and numerous collaborations of Steve Gadd, in almost chronological order.

Pat Metheny & A.M.Jopek "Are you going with me" (audio and video restored)

Of course, first, to Pat.
Then also to you all, there, old dehydrated hearts.
I know, ugh, that I’ve already put it a plethora of times but there’s no way!
When, drunk, I and her mother - who is simply called Isadora - conceived her, this piece was fundamental.

Can you imagine if we had listened to Sonic Youth?
Meow.

Charlotte Gainsbourg - Rest (Official Music Video)

I think this is the best composition Guy-Manuel (half of the duo Daft Punk) has ever come up with. Charlotte writes in memory of her father Serge and her sister Kate. An important album for the artist Gainsbourg. In her records, the heavy hand of the producer of the moment can be felt, namely Jarvis Cocker, Beck, and finally SebastiAn. Still, she remains a good songwriter.
