Ike & Tina Turner Revue "Proud Mary" on The Ed Sullivan Show

#edsullivanshow

From 1948 to 1971, every Sunday night, Ed Sullivan hosted the greatest and most famous artists on his show, aired on CBS. About ten years ago, it was re-released on 12 DVDs, and an Italian newspaper published the best performances. I'm sharing them with you; there are truly wonderful things.

@[SilasLang] what do you want to say about such a piece? Ulver - Nostalgia

Cold Chisel - Forever Now [Official Video]
An intro like this on guitar would have made the fortune of people like Santana from his later phase (the one starting from Inner Visions). Ian Moss wasn't bad on the six strings, and neither was Jimmy Barnes, whose voice could have fit perfectly in bands like Free or Grand Funk.

@[sfascia carrozze] what do you think? To me, the debut of the English band is "damagingly" similar to Streetcleaner by Godflesh! Pitchshifter - Industrial (Full Album)

"Farwell, Farewell" - Fairport Convention [Audio] Since "Usciva domani," the song that is for me the most poignant in the Fairport repertoire.

Orbital - Belfast (Official Music Video)
Because Sunday always smells like Trainspotting.
(Sung version in perfect New Order style of those wonderful 8 instrumental minutes of the original)

Tom Waits - Shore Leave
Everything #swordfishtrombones n°3
The swordfish-shaped trombone is always my favorite Waits album.

Serene - Eric Dolphy

Eric Dolphy (10 out of 10)
"Serene" from: Out There
