Elvis Presley "Hound Dog" (October 28, 1956) on The Ed Sullivan Show yesterday I watched the movie "Elvis." Not bad, I would say, although there were some things that made me raise my eyebrows here and there (the protagonist's pantomime acting was a bit excessive), but overall it’s well done. If you want to know more about this character, I recommend it. Elvis was, in his own way, a pioneer of rock music; criticizing him today is easy... but before him (aside from black blues artists) there was nothing. The first white person to make music like black artists?? I don't know if he was the first, but he was certainly the first true rock star... long live the king.
