10. Rimini
In '78, Faber returns with a new album of unreleased tracks after the not-so-successful Volume 8. For most of the fandom, this is the least beautiful album in De André's discography, and there are good reasons to say so. But I, and only I, will attempt to give it a little redemption with just 4 reasons: it has an interesting concept, namely that of the bourgeoisie, it features a freshness in the arrangements thanks also to the work with Massimo Bubola, the average quality of the songs is higher compared to the previous one, but above all… Andrea, a story of war and homosexuality that ends in the most tragic way. A punch to the gut thrown in an unconventional manner for that time. However, the album is occasionally held back by some minor risks (London Valour), but that isn’t a major problem for its overall success. Certainly, it’s not Faber's best album, but it nonetheless reflects a musical growth that will bear much fruit in the future.
