San Franciscan Nights Eric Burdon & The Animals
Eric and his Animals in an iconic piece from the Summer of Love

Arlo Guthrie- Coming Into Los Angeles [Live Woodstock 1969]
It's rare for sons to become more famous than their fathers. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any examples. He grew up in the atmosphere of Greenwich, where first his father and then Dylan marked an era. Arlo's result was a somewhat watered-down folk pop. This song gave him some visibility thanks to Woodstock.

Spandau Ballet - Through the Barricades
New-romantic moment. Amazing voice of Tony Hadley

Simião : Wasati Walomu
@[IlConte] what do you think about these?

Shout (Live From Franklin, TN)
They have never performed live, they collected some hits in a 2024 album from a concert held in the USA. The sound, after more than 40 years, changes.

I Corvi - Un ragazzo di strada - 1966
This is for my friend @[IlConte] and all the “garagisti” like myself.
The Italian version of “I ain’t no miracle worker” by The Brogues. Greg Elmore and Gary Duncan played in that band, and together with John Cipollina, Dino Valenti, Nicky Hopkins, etc., they formed the QuickSilver Messenger Service.

I Ribelli - Pugni Chiusi
In this track by Beretta/RickyGianco, you can hear one of the most beautiful voices ever heard on this earth. The legendary Demetrio

Both Sides Now
…..Joni is always Joni.

Eyes Without A Face (Remastered 1999)
He started out with punk in Generation X, then converted to the almighty dollar with pop-flavored tracks
#summerhits

Love Goes On (Remastered)
….. Really old stuff, but really, really old. The classic prog folk. A bit heavy in the long run.

John Barleycorn (Must Die) (Remastered 2010)
There’s traffic at this time, better to wait.

Coney Island Man
The sound is reminiscent of Piero Piccioni or Ennio Morricone’s soundtracks, especially in this track. I never would have believed that a group like this could come out of A Certain Ratio and Magazine.

Sarah Vaughan - Lullaby of Birdland
The line-up for this album is: Sarah Vaughan vocals, Clifford Brown trumpet, Paul Quinichette tenor sax, Jimmy Jones piano, Herbie Mann flute, Roy Haynes drums, Joe Benjamin bass…… as they say around here: mica cotica! #jazzlegends parti:

The Church - Reptile
The OZ band is better and cooler… don't talk to me about AC/DC

Yazoo - Don't Go (Official HD Video)
They only danced for one summer... Great Vince Clarke!

Marlene Kuntz - Nuotando Nell'aria
With all the respect I have for Godano & co, but this track is just too Sonic Youth.

Chuck Mangione - Feels So Good (Nana's Journey Into Song, March 8th, 1979)
The groove of the late Chuck Mangione RIP (note the bass line)

Karen Carpenter Drum solo 1968 Dancing in the street HD
If you mention Carpenter, people think of their pop songs and Karen’s beautiful voice, but the real talent was on the drums. Buddy Rich and Neil Peart considered her one of the best.

Mauro Sabbione - Matia Bazar ft. Enzo Jannacci - Elettrochoc - Tv Rai2 - a.d.1983
Electrochoc - Antonella Ruggiero: a different category of voice.

Most Anything You Want
Doug Igle's swaggering organ accompanies a song soaked in the psychedelia that reigned on the West Coast during that period; the track is part of the album for which The Butterflys are remembered, with the famous suite that, unfortunately, overshadows the other excellent tracks.
On the involuntary but useful suggestion of @[Lector] I am inaugurating the “ascoltensione,” that is, a sort of mini review of a single piece.

The Memory
What can I say? Neo-soul was born with him.

Dedicated (Remastered)
How ahead of their time they were...
