He he he... such a delightful and colorful review, you really capture the idea with certain expressions (the beautiful "horrendous spasm"). However, I think I'll leave the torment to you, I'm not of that age anymore, right now I'm listening to the Mum, probably at the exact opposite of AN. De gustibus non sputacchiandum est. I will continue to read your reviews because I really took a liking to this one!

Welcome back, LL! We missed your original sentence structures (it shimmers with symphonic mastery... so cute!) and there was a certain lack of reviews on symphonic metal and similar genres. I'm glad to see that Xandria are progressing because they are good, but if beneath the strokes of design and composition nothing works, no matter how technically prepared you are, the picture will be ugly, and the same goes for music. The seven little notes form interesting, fascinating, or meaningless sequences that make you think "God save us from calamari" (eheh) Bye bye!

I'll give my opinion, alright? I don't think the quality of a review should reflect the quality of the material being reviewed, because they are two different products: one is journalistic and informative, and the other is musical. I believe that whatever is being reviewed, one should write more than what you have done, and not necessarily about the history of the band in question; the range of information can vary, as demonstrated by the best reviews on Debaser. The skill lies in finding a tone that allows one to express interesting ideas. If the musical piece doesn't inspire anything, I think it would be better not to review it and simply communicate to your friends over the phone: "look, this album is terrible, I don't recommend it." That being said, I don't think what you’ve done is a mortal sin, in the sense that on every site there will be more or less valid contributions, so be it... and recently I positively commented on one of your reviews, the one about Poisonblack. Certainly, if it’s about offering others your time and mental faculties, it’s worth doing it well; I would avoid operations like this in the future in the interest of the quality of the site, because on Debaser, more in-depth analyses are usually found, and even negative comments are justified with valid arguments, and therefore the writings come across as much more substantial than your piece on Nightwish. Bye-bye.

Always professional in your reviews, excellent track by track. I recently discovered the group and it seems worthy of attention. See you later alligator - in a while crocodile!

You've said the essentials, albeit a bit succinctly, and you've achieved your goal: to warn that Poisonblack have done better on other albums. I only know scattered songs of theirs; I find "With her I die" absolutely stunning. If I were younger, I would fall in love with someone who sings with such a masculine and seductive voice. It’s a real shame that he wastes his talent on the mediocre songs you mentioned. Well, take care.

"Other Swiss on the brink of a nervous breakdown": stunning! Indeed, it’s hard not to feel exasperated when, in a hotel, you haven’t even finished your second bite of the breakfast bread and they come to clear the table, empty the container on the table where you’re supposed to put the silver paper from the butter and other scraps (with the inscription: "for a clean table" or something similar), you can’t even have breakfast in peace! The little lawns, though... Well, trash metal isn’t for me, but I always enjoy reading your reviews.

Your review is beautiful, full of inspiration, an enthusiasm filtered through a good compositional ability as well as an original search for metaphors (see the Our Father and the slow ritual procession). I hasten to seek out these pieces; the DCD sometimes reach extraordinary heights with their ethereal harmonies. Without Lisa, it wouldn't be possible, so she is the main character and I search for her in every possible combination! Here’s my 5, just six months late...

Uhm... what you’re saying is well said, but indeed a bit more information and/or impressions wouldn't hurt. I’ve just discovered them with songs different from these, and I quite like them, especially "She and Her Darkness." You were right to bring them up, even if the number of comments shows that this genre is and will remain the domain of the few, and among the few here on Debaser, three good reviewers seem to be missing, so mala tempora currunt.

Ah, what a beautiful review with wise words about the sad condition of women in this male-dominated world, yes, yes, totally agree, hate hate, meditate people meditate, etc. etc. I don't know if you know Amber Asylum, an all-female group, there's a drum solo in "The Setting Sun" that is out of this world! Amazing. Well, hoping I like the Sperati, I'll end—or rather pause—my morning rambling here, bye bye.

A review that combines information and feeling, my favorites! And the adjectives you use convince me as a description of the type of sound. I love the DCD, I don’t have this album, shame on me!
