The Who Endless Wire

It's not my nickname, idiot. That's what I'm called. At the age of Toewnshed and Daltrey, you will surely be much more stupid than they are.
Trust Repression

I saw them! I left the theater and never thought of them again.
Bad Company Bad Co

If you haven't heard of them, you absolutely need to check out Thunder! Their music and their singer could give you fits of pleasure! Have you ever listened to them?
Elton John Tumbleweed Connection
Voto:
A glaring proof of the strength of this album is that everyone has a different favorite song! Mine is Country Comfort; I still get chills when it comes on. Kudos for the review.
Paul Simon Hearts and Bones
Voto:
My favorite album by Simon. I especially love "Renè & Georgette..."
Robert Wyatt The End Of An Ear
Voto:
Great review, Dave. I don't see it as a masterpiece like you do, but it's a matter of different musical sensibilities. If the Soft had opted for progressive instead of jazz... but that's my regret; for others, surely they did well to marginalize Wyatt.
Chris Squire Fish Out Of Water

I support you. Great.

How much complacency, how many mental gymnastics, how little perspective, in my opinion. Complacency
Coverdale Page Coverdale Page
Voto:
Page is almost at his best. The "almost" is for the solos, nothing special. The riffs, on the other hand, are the best in the world, deep, penetrating, nourishing. The best thing outside of Zeppelin by far. You're right about Coverdale: I find him a bit forced, a bit of a showman, a bit imitative (of Plant). Carmassi doesn't seem to have enough power to make you forget Bonzo's presence, who would have knocked everyone out on these tracks. Great album, tough even if a little forced (excluding Page).
Bruce Cockburn High Winds White Sky
Voto:
I saw Bruce live in a small theater in Bologna in the eighties. His guitar spoke. Four hundred people melting into the floor from sheer joy. When will we ever have singer-songwriters in Italy so sensitive even with an instrument?
