I'm glad you mentioned the Cake, because they're a great band and it fits perfectly. I'm not pleased that you didn't appreciate an album that I, on the other hand, liked a lot, like all the works of The Coral, mind you, even if you’re right that they're quite derivative. What saves them is their young age and their taste, because it also takes taste to mix inspirations. I understand that the single may have misled you with its somewhat easy-listening vibe, but the album is lovely.
