Minkia the Madrugada. How much I love the Madrugada. When I heard "Industrial Silence" for the first time, it was a blow. Beautiful album. "Nightly Disease" was equally beautiful and maybe even more so; even that stingy Max Stefani of Mucchio included it among his favorites, and that takes some doing. "Grit" had a remarkable first impression, but over time, aside from 2-3 great tracks (the aforementioned "Majesty", perhaps their most beautiful song), it's aged poorly. The latest, "The Deep End," is among my albums of the year; it's very beautiful, I like it, opening with an exceptional triptych, and if the whole album maintained the same intensity, it would be too much. Sorry, but I really like the Madrugada, and I wanted to tell you. Take that.
