Joy Division are the best dark band ever, a true gem in the world of music, and that's why rivers and rivers of ink have been written about Curtis and the others. The problem is that too much has already been written. My advice is to propose new names; leave the sacred monsters in the workshop as inspiration and examples, not as destinations.

In Italy, Masini was the only one who talked about depression, the desire to die, and suicide.

I'll say one thing if I may.
The Guns, technical or not, could have had a significant impact when from '87 to '91 they released two albums that were at least listenable, because all the elements, including Rose and Slash, were at their peak and especially aware of being musicians.
After '91, the Guns became a band for nostalgics, and Slash and Rose two pathetic former musicians.
