I read some interviews with John Oliva, where he talks about their old manager and producer who was partially responsible for the disaster of those years, and this record is proof of that. He mentioned that he can’t find him anymore, but if he does, he’s going to smash his face. The album is a kitschy affair with a few partially positive moments.

Nice, great debut, although giving it a 5 seems totally exaggerated to me. Nevertheless, the subsequent albums the dungeons are calling and power of the night are honorable records of classic heavy metal that mark the band's early period.

Phenomenal. This album has enchanted me, maybe it's because I'm not well-acquainted with the production and history of the trio, and perhaps I judge what is excellent that which is normal (for them).
