Senmayan, if you explain to me where the ignorance is in my review, I can gladly apologize. Otherwise, take it easy with the nonsense.

In Italy, the imperative is to settle for these pseudo-rockers. Excellent critique, even though it was quite an easy assignment.

senior86, bring me some "colleagues" drummers who consider Taylor a great drummer. I'll invite them all to dinner, we'll have a nice chat, get drunk, and then the truth will come out (as always when we're drunk). You know what the real problem is? That a drummer just has to be in a great band to be considered great himself. Taylor is absolutely mediocre. And I'm saying this judging the quality of the pieces he plays, not the difficulty.

In my opinion, Poletti, the problem is that your critique is flawed, it doesn’t bite, it simply makes one smile. I agree with your judgment, but not with the arguments you used to support it.
Queen, a band certainly overrated:
- Brian May is a good guitarist but nothing more. Satisfactory technique, I prefer him in his baroque embellishments (like "Innuendo," for example) than in his banal outings in a hard rock context; in fact, he falls short in terms of riffs and rock solos, and quite significantly. Even in terms of sound, he doesn’t impress; it's very standard.
The rhythm section: I’m half on board. Deacon on bass is, in my opinion, very good, while Taylor is embarrassing, a truly unnecessary and sterile drummer. He’s good if we accept that all drummers who don’t waste time are good. But where’s the personality? Obviously, the lion's share goes to Freddie Mercury, nearly genius in his lyricism and vocal power. I also appreciate him in his piano work. The lyrics fluctuate between great (cases like "The Show Must Go On") and negligible. The phase they went through in the eighties really doesn’t sit well with me. Fortunately, they partially bounced back with "Innuendo." Their particular theatricality (even in atmosphere) made them so famous. The charisma and death of Mercury did the rest.

I was there. However, you could have also mentioned the group before, gli apres la classe, who excellently opened the concert.

"all my enemies." Listen, are you a fool or an idiot? Come on, go and take a good dose of barbiturates. "From my friends, God save me, for I will guard myself from my enemies."

Add the word "gruppo" between "questo" and "sia" in the second line. And then add "coglionazzo" after the word "Poletti."

Look: in my opinion, this criticism is not entirely misplaced. Aside from Mercury's incredible talent, which nobody can deny, I believe that from other points of view this has sometimes been overrated (for instance, May's guitar work). Anyway, this CD is not just one person's effort. And then, of course, there are always the usual outlandish statements like Poletti's, just to be different and controversial: "led by Monsieur Freddy Mercury, an idol? A modern clone of Jim Morrison?" Come on, please. Set yourself on fire when you write this nonsense.
