Just for the record, I listen to all the mentioned bands because I couldn't care less if they're considered adolescent. To me, they're good music, and that's all that matters. Porcupine Tree is adolescent, fundamentally. Adolescent with good taste, but they don't offer such a detailed and complicated listening experience, so they're accessible even to very young listeners. And these are not dogmas, but points of view.

I listen to music that kicks ass. Not stuff for teenagers. Yet I like Guns. For what it's worth, I also consider Iron Maiden and the like to be for fifteen-year-olds. Dearest Adriano (San) Bernardo, even Porcupine Tree would have been a teenage band if they had made it big.
