NOOOO! I made a mistake, I'm sorry!! I didn’t mean to say Led Zeppelin, but Sparks. Sparks were pioneers of glam alongside Queen. I don’t know how I got confused!

Great album, a bit raw, but it contains some real gems of rock-glam.
The fairy-tale and fantasy lyrics are truly enchanting.
I actually think that Queen, along with Led Zeppelin—more so the latter—were the pioneers of glam, but I believe that Queen did it better. While the inventor might have been Marc Bolan, it's not easy to be sure.
Perhaps Queen were the greatest pioneers in history; they didn't invent much, but they were the forerunners of many things, including music videos, great hits (after the release of Queen's greatest hits, it became almost mandatory for all artists), etc.
Maybe because, besides being great artists, they were excellent at managing commercial operations (especially Freddie).
Rating: excellent, both the review and the album.
Queen II reaches masterpiece status.

I agree that the Beatles are a bit more popular than the Beatles, but saying that Mercury is musically a step below Lennon is nonsense; rather, Mercury is three steps above Lennon. I'd like to remind everyone that Queen is Queen because Freddie was there.
