The connection in which the Saturnalia (celebrated between December 17 and 23) is linked to the title of the album is that, according to words from Dulli that I can no longer recall where I read them, the project began to see the light precisely in December, in 2003.

Finally, I can toss aside my attempts to write a review of this album. I'm vaguely in agreement with what you say, Saltuario, but nothing can change my initial impression: it’s a lackluster album. The more I insist, the more it starts to grow on me. It develops. But I still consider it a misstep; from these two could have emerged a bonfire like you wouldn't believe, and instead, there was only a spark. And I feel like saying that it's not so much a work of the Gutter Twins, but of the Twilight Singers (Dulli's band, which is indeed present on the album) featuring Mark Lanegan.
