no propaganda, fest. I'm just trying to be friendly (especially since I haven't written in a while...)

If the circle bar is well-stocked, I’ll pay for myself, and if you behave, maybe I'll treat you to something as well. And for 5, I'll also give you another one.

mirror vote: such a review, such an album? hi socrates, maybe I’ll come back after I've listened to them (if I find them). odradek, I’ll let you know if they have the same effect as mazzy star, but from socrates' words, I doubt it.

...but in the second circle, do they also serve some cocktails that aren't tequila-based?

In my journey to discover the kraut, they are lacking, a few songs aside. I fear it’s an uphill journey. <Yeti is the most played CD in Charon's boat radio> and this phrase is worth the search and the listening of the CD.

Mazzy Star are one of those bands that I ignored back in the day. Everyone was crazy about Fade Into You and it used to get on my nerves. Today I'm afraid to go back and discover how wrong I was. But these, however, I'm going to hunt down. Quickly.
Okkervil River Down The River Of Golden Dreams

I would say they vaguely resemble Sparklehorse or Will Oldham. Very folk. Cute, nice, and very energetic live, but this album, aside from a few songs (Down the River of Golden Dreams, War Criminal Rises..., Song About a Star and a few others), bores me a bit. Very, perhaps too melodic, at times whiny. You said it well, their masterpiece is Black Sheep Boy. But in the end, they are produced by Jagjaguwar, which is always a guarantee.

I'm quite intrigued. And then maybe the truth is out there.

Well done, Krystal.
