Jim, the overlap of instruments here is harmonious, sometimes a bit tricky but always within certain limits. The chaos is in Domestic Wildlife. Sony Classical hired DAAU when they were still anchored (pun intended) in their canonical classical interpretation; I can well believe that We Need New Animals and Life Transmission were enough to change the record label's mind. Luckily, DAAU solved their problems and are self-producing: Radical Duke is a label set up by them, with the support of the Belgian government. What a beautiful country. But explain to me where you heard the bolero in My Goodness! Poetry; I would say it’s more like a flight of the bumblebee. Catfish Blues is even more beautiful in the version sung by the Donkey Diesel (and you can download it here link rotto
