Yes, Cla. My favorite is The Chief Assassin to the Sinister, and right after it Na Vucca do Lupu, which is the first. Another Sea, Another Desert is bland, as you said. I recommend the first two. Also, the collection Songs from an Old Town We Once Knew, a collection of 7'' and b-sides, is worth it. Basically: out of their entire career, you picked the wrong one :)

I'm not a human subject, but can I comment? Well done.

Psycho, it seems that in Milan the setlist was: when she comes down / is a robot / instant street / fell off the floor, man / favourite game / theme from turnpike / the architect / magdalena / smokers reflect / slow / nothing really ends / bad timing / if you don't get what you want / suds & soda / encore: eternal woman / little arithmetics / oh your god / roses / morticiachair. Aside from an unusual Magdalena (but how much better is Via) and the revived Morticiachair, nothing new under the sun.

Get your hands on The Chief Assassin to the Sinister right away and possibly also Na Vucca do Lupu by Three Mile Pilot. Forget about Pinback.

Their latest, great work? I have my doubts. I could kick myself just because they did Morticiachair. Which seems a bit like a joke since it's all Trouvé and Carlens.

But why should I care about keeping track of the reviewed albums and understanding things! It's just that you have the habit of exhausting the repertoire of the bands you review, so by the thousandth homepage review of Asia, Canned Heat, Todd Rundgren, etc., the name sticks in your head. Imagine, there were also the Catherine Wheel.

I found out where you buy your records or where you draw inspiration from: the discounted section of the record store on Corso Italia, in Pisa. I was there by chance a couple of weeks ago, and while rummaging through the super discounts looking for something worth buying (... nothing!) I found almost everything you've reviewed! Unbelievable!

"They have been proposing the same formula for years now: first as Three Mile Pilot and now as Pinback," I mean, eh. First of all, Rob Crow wasn’t even in Three Mile Pilot. And then because starting from their last album (Another Sea, Another Desert), the Three Mile Pilot are on a whole different level. Another planet. I liked Pinback at first, they drove me crazy with Offcell (Microtonic Wave and B are stunning!) and then they completely ruined it for me with Summer in Abaddon and even more with the latest one. What a pity.
