Michele Pecora is his real name. Born in the province of Salerno, he moved with his family to Falconara Marittima in 1970. He attended the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, studying classical guitar. In 1977, he won the Castrocaro Festival with the song "La mia casa," and made his debut in the music industry with the same song after signing a contract with Warner Bros Records.
In 1979, he recorded "Era lei," a song that achieved great success.
In 1980, he recorded "Te ne vai" (written by Pecora himself and Adelmo Fornaciari, future "Zucchero"), with which he participated in the Festivalbar, renewing his success. During the same period, he also wrote the song "Dormirai, canterai, ballerò," with Franco Battiato and Giusto Pio.
He continued to record throughout the decade, changing record labels, and with CBS, after a few unnoticed songs, he had another good response with "Me ne andrò" in 1984, participating in the Festivalbar.
In the '90s, he dedicated himself to songwriting for other artists (Barbara Cola and Lighea among others), while still continuing to perform.
He participated as a songwriter and orchestra conductor at the Sanremo Festival in 1995 with the song "Rivoglio la mia vita," performed by singer Lighea.
Currently, in addition to his activities as a singer and songwriter, he conducts an orchestra that has accompanied and collaborated with many artists, including Ron, Peppino Di Capri, Ivana Spagna, and Riccardo Fogli.
He is also actively engaged in talent scouting, working alongside Mara Maionchi and other colleagues at numerous national events related to singing competitions.
