The fact that they say the latest CD is the best is just a marketing move: if they were to say, "no, really our best album is X," anyone who didn't love X would never buy the new one, because if they didn't love what the musicians themselves claim is their best, how could they love one that is acknowledged as inferior? Therefore, what artists say about their latest albums is completely irrelevant. Music is the only thing that matters. And this album shows a band that is already running out of ideas.

Actually, I wasn't criticizing Petrucci; rather, I meant to say to TAKE EXAMPLE from him... ah, and yet I thought I had learned to express myself in Italian....

I don’t understand why he insists on making records like this... I really can’t take it anymore...
But why doesn’t he do like the much-criticized colleague Petrucci, who founded one of the greatest bands of all time without giving up his spotlight? Yet there are many extraordinary musicians out there...
Here, there is only technical display.

Fidia, you’re right, a big scoundrel, but he hasn’t always been like that… In Buon Compleanno Elvis there’s good music in my opinion.

Your criticism is very intelligent, Eneathedevil, but let me explain. I don’t renounce the album; in fact, I give it a 3/5, which is a decent score, and I also mention that the quality of the music is high. I simply consider it, at the end of the day, a rather insignificant episode because similar themes are developed with greater cohesion, coherence, and balance in other albums. That’s why I refer to it as "a sort of bad copy, a sketch, or better yet, scattered notes [...]". THIS ALWAYS REMAINS THE QUALITY OF THE MUSIC THAT I REPEAT IS EXCELLENT FOR ME. What I mean is, it’s somewhat akin to the discussion about those great champions who are substitutes on their own team but are said to be starters in any other club. Well, in Brian Eno's discography, this album is a substitute, even though it could be a starter in many others. I hope I’ve conveyed the concept. See you soon.

Review Excellent, I listened to the album some time ago and frankly it didn't make a great impression on me... in the sense that it's all been heard and re-heard, nothing new. It's no coincidence that they don't have the popularity of the big English bands...
