She is truly stunning with long hair... the album has been announced as the definitive departure from rock (but which rock? Who knows...) in favor of acoustic sounds. Aside from the fact that for a while now, acoustic sounds and a certain annoying intellectualism have taken over. This album isn't very different from the last ones; it certainly highlights this desire for low-frequency sounds. The lyrics, as usual, are super sophisticated, and the off-kilter meter is as expected. Just like the voice. In short, nothing new under the sun; those who loved it before will love it even more, while those who, like me, could barely tolerate it will continue to not tolerate it, all while acknowledging that the objective quality of the music and songwriting is commendable. The review has somewhat confused my thoughts.

Fantasmagoric, absolutely amazing voice. Great songs, pure emotions. This is soul music, made with the heart... Great review.

@Luca-LJ: Okay, all is forgiven.. :-)

The fact that the album sounds very Floyd is inevitable; after all, Gilmour was the guitar and lead vocalist of Pink Floyd, plus in some tracks Wright also plays and sings... I find this to be an unreasonable criticism. Also, considering that you can’t ask Gilmour to forget more than twenty years of history...

Excellent review, congratulations. The album is very beautiful and evocative, the music is incredibly dreamy and transporting, at times it almost feels like listening to Brian Eno's Music for Airports. The lyrics, while not going beyond a medium level, are perfectly in tune with the sonic landscapes painted. The weakest track in my opinion is The Blue, which still features a spine-chilling guitar solo. In short, a great piece of work; anyone who loved Gilmour's guitar will inevitably love this.

Ah, now I've noticed the irony... the question is: did you feel the need for it?

Luca-LJ, are you sure about what you're saying? Because you've destroyed one of those unshakable certainties... I was absolutely convinced it was by Wagner.

Good reception, but they really don't appeal to me... maybe because I was raised on bread and Led Zeppelin (so with a certain kind of rough and barbaric sound), such pomposity is really unbearable. Of course, if only there were bands of that caliber today...

Besides the dramatic intensity and pathos of his compositions...

What do you want me to say, here we're talking about the noblest of arts, Music. It's trivial to say that Brahms was a genius, a genius to whom I reverently bow. However, probably also due to my unrestrained love for Nietzsche, I prefer Wagner for the titanism and urgency of his music.
