THE REVIEW

I find myself tackling my first review… What drives me is a strong desire to express my passion for music and especially to engage with those who are certainly more experienced than me… I've read quite a few reviews with various comments, which often turn into heated discussions full of swear words, which has scared me a little, but I must say that even the most intense debates show that this is serious business, in the sense that the level of musical culture here is truly very high… However, while browsing the site, I noticed that there are few albums by Kiss and this struck me greatly, to the point that I decided to review one myself!!! After this preamble, you should know that I am not a great expert, my musical knowledge is certainly not broad, I don't know by heart the names of all the artists, nor the instruments or techniques, but certainly what guides me is the music itself… what I feel inside. Perhaps very often those who exaggerate in learning notions or flaunting a pedantic culture, distance themselves a bit from what initially led them into the world of music, which is that pleasure, that taste, that sensation that transports you and drives you far away, to another world, makes you imagine a better place, more serene, more just… And that's how I feel, especially with Kiss, which I got to know just recently, thanks to my ex-boyfriend.

When I listen to them, I don't really think about anything, I don't think about the problems that plague me, nor about how unfair and disgusting this world is, I just feel like singing at the top of my lungs and following the rhythm of their songs… They are great, and “Hotter Than Hell” is, in my opinion, really well made!!! Apart from “Goin’ Blind”, the ballad of the situation, they are all fantastic, like “Let Me Go, Rock ‘N Roll”, or like “Got To Choose”; but as with these two mentioned, this judgment applies to all!!! What I appreciate so much is their musical style, pure rock ‘n roll, clean, almost rudimentary, no virtuosity, no bullshit, no exaggerations (except for their look, eh eh), just pure rock n’ roll, a desire to have fun, to take things with simplicity and so much love for music, the universal language that brings everyone together…

Well, I'm done, rereading it I realize it's a non-review, because I've talked about everything except the album, but unfortunately, I can't give you technical details (I hope you can help me with those)… Let's say I base the beauty of an album on empirical rather than technical data, whether it is right or wrong, I don’t know… Please, don't be too cruel with the comments, have mercy, it's just my first review!!!
