Oh yes, great song Salt of the eart...

Regarding the issue of classical music, so to speak... technically it could work, but I would wait at least a few centuries, while still maintaining that we need to somehow distinguish this music from that of people like Mozart or Wagner, to name a couple that I like the most (other than that, I'm not a fanatic...)

Great review, I was planning to write one myself but I procrastinated too much... :-) In my opinion, this is the best Stones album alongside Let it Bleed, or maybe even superior... I would have emphasized Salt of the Earth and its splendid lyrics, truly moving. But choosing tracks on such an album is really a tough task. Let's say that the pieces I like the least are unfortunately among the most famous; I think of ā€œStreet Fighting Man,ā€ which doesn't particularly move me.

How boring...

I’ve had enough of this pop dressed up as rock. Much better are bands like Maroon 5 or Kings of Convenience, who create tasteful pop without pretending to be artists of some extraordinary caliber...

Well, I think I've listened to the album a total of 5 or 6 times... I don't know, I find their music extremely boring if I may say so... the review is very good; if you had elaborated just a little more in your commentary on some tracks (like "Cecilia"), you would have gotten the highest marks (from me :-) )

There might be some mistakes, but unlike you, no one here is so frustrated and unfortunate, I would say, as to take pleasure in highlighting every little grammatical inaccuracy. By the way, the inaccuracies you pointed out in the comments are obviously typos or caused by rush and the fact that, generally, one doesn't reread their own comments, as generally there isn't a poor soul who points out every single imperfection. In any case, BeatBoy knows how to defend himself, I look forward to reading your reviews.

A top-notch review, so to speak... the rating is exactly what I would have given. In other words, all the songs are worth 0, except for Madrigal, which I would champion much more than you. I would say that in my opinion it is a little masterpiece that wouldn’t have looked out of place on Going for the One, where very marked medieval atmospheres are felt. Just one mistake: "decadent" is not the right adjective to characterize the band in these years; I would have used "in decadenza," which means something else.

The review is very well written, just like the previous one, which also wasn’t among the suggested ones, as they say "the mystery of faith"...
Moreover, I’ve heard some incredible things about the Pooh; let’s say that if they are true (and I have no doubts about your seriousness, believe me..) they are quite shocking. Unfortunately, the rejection is too strong, but maybe one day I will listen to this album.
