Traveling quickly towards Assago with my trusty friend Dave to relive some old sensations with a flavor that is ancient to me. I've been listening to Tool since the album "undertow," and I saw them live for the first time with the legendary Rage Against the Machine. Welcome! After weaving through vendors of all kinds, we're finally here, and yes, I must look around and notice that the audience is justifiably diverse, old folks of 34-35 like me and young sprouts who appreciate the same genre. It makes me happy nonetheless, but also that the forum is quite full.
3-2-1 contact, the journey begins, the first is "roseta stoned" Maynard appears dressed with a cowboy hat and starts bombarding with a trembling and effects-laden voice. Bass, drums, and guitar pour sound waves over us, not always so audible, not because of the band's fault but due to the forum's acoustics, which seemed poor to me. The playlist continues alternating old and new songs, taken from all four albums, among all my favorites, "sober," "parabola," meanwhile Maynard shows off a nice mohawk and continues to turn his back and sway near the splendid video spectacle behind him. Meanwhile, some good soul adjusts the sound, so we proceed with "stinkfist," "forty six and 2," and after a good hour and a half, the four take a break with a beer and towel, but it's not over, and they gift us yet another track from "lateralus," the title of which I don't remember, and the grand finale with "vicarious" from the latest album.
Great feast, heading back home a bit dazed and happy to have seen one of the bands that best interpret this type of music. Great! Ah, Maynard is really ugly, but you already knew that!
