Well, in the end, not bad at all.

In the review, you continuously say everything and its opposite. Not very coherent, you claim it’s not played well, not sung well, and not recorded well—essentially, it wouldn't be much of anything. Yet, you still give it 4 stars, which is almost 3.5… I don't get it.

The review is accurate, even if it's easy to take shots at Ligabue... I'm feeling the urge to start writing reviews again, especially about Ligabue... To try a more in-depth analysis of the phenomenon.

Someone said it well when they talked about music for kids… the sad part is that the stadiums are full of people who are no longer teenagers; my ex-girlfriend, for instance, is 21 and is obsessed with this jerk to a level you can’t even imagine… well, you can’t really understand how schizophrenic my ex-girlfriend is... in any case, up until "Buon Compleanno Elvis," any musical discussion about Ligabue's songs made some sense… from then on, it’s been the slow decline of quality. All songs are the same, filled with clichés and repeated stereotypes. What really pisses me off is the importance that others give to this; it's not so much him as a person—if he were considered for what he’s actually worth, I might even find him likable.

Well, in my opinion this is a great album. Perhaps just below the masterpieces of the band – but I wouldn't be sure about that. You didn't even mention Squeeze Box... The only one that doesn't move me is the last one, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not at all in agreement with the alleged decline of Moon: he has simply adapted to the new pieces, keeping in mind that you can't play the same way for 10 years straight. I believe that a true qualitative decline will occur with Who Are You, although that too is an album that 90% of rock bands wouldn't even dream of...

A vast album, but a bit "heavy" to digest and listen to. In my opinion, Storia di un impiegato is the best album ever composed by De Andrè.

Wonderful review. I completely agree on everything. These records should be taken for what they are.
Symphony X Paradise Lost

Already an excellent album... much better than the latest from DT... And anyway, Symphony X also has insane technique. What is true, however, is that technique has little to do with an artist's compositional abilities.
