Kathryn Bigelow The Hurt Locker

I haven't seen the film; I've happened to watch several about the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan, like "Brothers" by Jim Sheridan or "In the Valley of Elah," and honestly, I found them preachy and heavy, the same old story of America still licking its wounds after September 11th. This film also doesn’t give me much hope...
The Saints Eternally Yours

They deserve respect precisely because they embodied punk more in style than in form. And the garage they draw from is nothing but a form of pre-punk. An album to have for two key gems like Know your products and This perfect day...

Thank you, Bartle, and I accept the criticism... perhaps it was because I watched the film objectively, without letting myself be influenced by the well-deserved Oscar awarded to Bridges...

J&R, you’re one of those usual idiots who thinks that serious music is only made by Buckley, Van Morrison, and the like... nothing to say, buddy... but who asked you to come and break my balls by saying that the Clash are a shitty band... I don’t give a damn about your opinions... keep them to yourself... I don’t come into your reviews to fuck with you, you loser...

You've written one of my favorite reviews, reading you is a real pleasure. Yes, Micah's voice shocked me too, just like his songs.
Bruce Springsteen Tunnel of Love

It's an album I've always somewhat snubbed, perhaps precisely because of the massive presence of the synth, which made me hate it so much in "Born in the USA." But it's an album that leaves something behind, and one fully appreciates it over the years, when it's easy to find oneself in that latent melancholy that breathes throughout all the tracks.

Great review, precise and thorough. A fundamental album for the 90s!
The Clash Sandinista!

Locked away for three weeks in the Electric Ladyland Studio in New York, smoking marijuana and composing whatever came to mind... this is pure art, folks, created by individuals free to experiment with "Complete Control" over their compositions... an epoch-making album for future generations... just ask Massive Attack...
Pink Floyd The Wall

It may not be a top record, but giving it a 1 Bogus seems excessive to me. I agree with you that Waters started to lose it with this album, but you didn't give credit to the fact that, despite everything, these four were some serious musicians. I would have written the same review for "The Final Cut," where Wright was inexplicably kicked out by Waters and Gilmour appears in a few tracks... well, in that case, I would have sided with you.

They are truly amazing! Forget about the Pistols... "Eternally Yours" is quite good too, with those garage reminiscences that are just fine, in fact.... Here lies the true essence of punk in all its iconoclastic beauty, and as you rightly write, with a freshness that, after thirty years, has lost neither strength nor character.
