I've never liked the album, but I share the thoughts expressed by the Captain in his review regarding the "emotional value" of an album, as well as the whole nostalgic parentheses and reminiscences of high school (I'm also in a "revival period"). My advice is not to leave this site, since it is the best music criticism website in Italy: Ondarock and Il Mucchio should step aside! :-D

For me, however, the strength of the SY is Ranaldo. Period. @Mike: in my opinion, Lunch >>>>>>>>>>>>> Gordon ;-) The anguish that Closet conveys to me is unparalleled... Lydia has a distinctive way of distorting her voice, while Kim's voice is much more static... @Tricky: I'm not convinced by the discussion about the "sound" of NY... I'll give you the 80s and the SY, but in the 70s, music was played in different ways in NY besides Television (NY Dolls, R. Hell, Springsteen, Blondie, Ramones, Suicide, etc...)... not to mention the 60s, when Greenwich was still around and the sound of the VU was an exception to the rule...

less and less shit from you, sanculo! :-D ...then this thing of praising crap reviews is becoming a bit of a cliché, a trick designed to look cool, to show that you’re alternative, against conventions and stuff like that... it takes little, today, to feel like prominent intellectuals... we have to thank the internet...

In short, for me there is really no comparison between Reed and Verlaine on one side and Moore and Gordon on the other... Reed and Verlaine have very distinctive voices that have also set a precedent... Moore and Gordon, on the other hand, simply seem to lack talent...
