Anyway, for me they don't resemble either The Beatles or The Stooges... they rather remind me of The Kinks and The Ramones...

This review is long, I'll read it tomorrow... the Buzzcocks have set a standard, but in the melodic-punk scene, many have done better than them, just take a look at Australia... too sentimental and devoted...

Nirvana Nevermind

Yes, ok Ashy, you write like a god, but… revolutions also happen underground… many mainstream rock bands from the 90s (from Nirvana to Smashing Pumpkins, from Pearl Jam to RHCP) were deep connoisseurs of the American underground rock scene of the 80s… we, from our sad Italy with its cheesy songs, could only perceive the surface of that movement, but Cobain, Corgan, and the gang knew their way around the various Wipers, Meat Puppets, Husker Du, etc.… they grew up with that music and drew inspiration from it (Flea from the Red Hot even played with Fear!)… oh, regarding the Pixies: stylistically they’re fine, but substantively they were almost at the antipodes of grunge (and of Cobain in particular)… anyway, really a great piece, you have a lot of personality… I love this type of review in the “short essay” style… ciao!

"Never has a rock trio reached such peaks of sound experimentation" <<< well, I have quite a bit to say about that :-D ...since we're talking about Low, I'll say goodnight right away (even though it's only 8:20 PM)
