@laggio: I think the Rudys were among the inspirations for grind, just like the entire anarcho-punk scene...the fact that they were ironic is definitely a point in their favor...what I find pretentious in Cacophony is the way they set the album up as if it were some kind of operetta, stuffed as it is with tedious recited interludes...
