Saint words those of Alias and Mister X. It’s true: on Ondarock, the users that "count" are viscerally anti-scaruffian and pro-synthpop & new romantic. Regarding Nunziata: sure, he's scaruffian to the core, but I enjoy his profiles for their depth, passion, and use of language, and I certainly don't think we can talk about mere copy-pasting from www.scaruffi.com (not that any of you said that, calm down, I don't hold it against any of you ;-D)

Kosmo, I'm glad you like my card ;-) A review of Westerberg? Look, I could do "Tim" by the Mats, since "Let it be" is already there... :-)

Fundamental record. Many bands from the 90s were inspired by it, in various fields, from math-rock to slo-core, from emo to post-rock, from indie to grunge (ah, I would also mention the Dinosaur Jr. among the inspirations for Nirvana…). I share the reflection on hard rock (damn, Motor sounds almost like a Montrose song!!! :-D). Exemplary Navajo Ace, my favorite. Seminal also are Americruiser, Doug Leader, and Clay, tracks already deeply Slint-like. Perfect review, as always. Just one thing: are you sure the BM were from North Carolina? I thought they were also from Kentucky...

It took me a while to appreciate it. A difficult record. There are no songs; there are no sounds; there are no melodies. Just serpents of dissonances. Fascinating, but never as much as the unattainable Daydream Nation. @ Antonino: the drummer on this record is not yet Shelley, but Bob Bert (a less powerful drummer, but equally imaginative compared to Shelley); moreover, I believe that the 80s were not a decade to forget at all. On the contrary...

Ok, but there's still something that doesn't add up: the two Zigghio registered and authors of some nice reviews (if you tell me you wrote the one for Zen Arcade, we can make peace...) :-D

Zigghio, listen to me carefully: 1) My friend Van Vliet is very upset about how he is treated on Ondarock, and keep three things in mind: first, for every user who accuses him of being a copycat, there’s another who praises him for his personality, so as you can see, the matter is quite debatable; then no one has ever proven that Van Vliet does copy-paste from Scaruffi's site; finally, remember that some of the users who call him a Scaruffian do it as a joke, just to provoke (more or less humorously); 2) Nunziata is an excellent critic, deep and passionate in his writings: the fact that he has Scaruffian tastes is neither a merit nor a demerit; 3) If you had read Franci's reviews with less superficiality and arrogance, you’d realize that for him it’s not true that post-91 music is just crap, but that good post-91 music is of a non-rock genre (and Franci has a very narrow definition of the genre "rock"); 4) Now tell me, please, who the hell are you, because that damn gray color is starting to get on my nerves, and I bet you're registered on the Ondarock forum and have a hair trigger as long as John Holmes' dick. I apologize for the outburst, but those who want to play the mysterious (and at the same time know-it-alls) really get on my nerves a lot.

Zigghio, you really went overboard! Look, they hate Scaruffi on Ondarock, and who is that guy who copies his reviews? It wouldn’t happen to be my friend D.VAN VLIET, would it? No, because if you really think that way, I strongly recommend you do a nice comparative analysis between Scaruffi’s notes and Van Vliet’s comments, and you’ll realize they have almost nothing to do with each other.
