eheheheheh Fest, the heart doesn’t command! I grew up with this record! I haven’t listened to it in ages (practically since the day my ears landed on White Light White Heat :-D)…Freddie is one of my weaknesses…one of my few concessions to commercial music…Plus, he was a flaunt! :-)))

I’m intruding into your discussion because I feel the need to say one thing: "Saucerful of Secrets" does not appear among my favorite Floyd albums, but nonetheless, I wanted to point out that in the title track there’s the first example (albeit rudimentary and handmade) of "drum-machine": Mason had recorded a drum figure, then he cut the tape, made a loop out of it, and the result was the metronomic repetition of that same rhythmic pattern... Not knowing them yet, I can’t say if the Silver Apples had done the same thing... Anyway, honor to the experimental Floyd of the early period! :-)
