Renè, there's something that doesn't add up: "The Sound of Music" is from...1965!!! :-D

@ Leo & Ramona: out of curiosity, what do you find better in the Jerks compared to the Germs?

mmm...I miss this...I will get it when it starts getting cold again: industrial, in the summer months, I really struggle to handle it...Oh yes, I am sensitive to the weather! Anyway, a passionate review (like all those from Festwka!) :-D

The review is touching, but the album has always left a bitter taste in my mouth... I've always found it grandiloquent and self-congratulatory, not to mention that the second album practically sounds the same from beginning to end! Nevertheless, the verse of "Cut my Hair" is beautiful!

So many memories this album brings! Wonderful. I completely resonate with your analysis, Renè... truly moving. An album I played a lot and haven’t listened to in a while... Perfect for those dreary autumn afternoons, perhaps with a nice cup of hot tea... @Symbad: Mary Poppins is from '64, so I don’t think the theme of the title track is inspired by that movie. :-)

Oh, we were missing the Circle Jerks! A necessary comeback. This is definitely a little classic of old-school hc, even though the Germs remain several steps above (for the skill of the members, the variety of moods and solutions, the expressiveness, the maturity, the depth, etc.). "Beverly Hills" is evocative, but the best comes in the final part: the last 5/6 songs take your breath away.
