Any song conceived and created before 1977 is GENETICALLY SUPERIOR to any song conceived and created after 1977. This has been established by the government.

The best rock album of the '80s is definitely A Momentary Lapse Of Reason.

So, the review is well written, but there are a couple of ridiculous statements: 1) "the bland technodark pseudobadness of Nine Inch Nails" <<< are we joking? techno-dark?! bland?! For me, Reznor and Empire should be mentioned together, if only because their aesthetics (the blend of rock + electronic) are similar; 2) "This was a band that could never have come out of the U.S.A., where Slipknot dress up as killer clowns just because they were bored growing up among cows and chickens: this was a band that came out of real discomfort and expressed real anger, not artificial" <<< please, let’s not say BULLSHIT!!! Enough with these clichés! How the hell can you bring up those clowns Slipknot and overlook people like Kurt Brecht (DRI) or Jello Biafra (DK) or Dictor (MDC) or Graffin (Bad Religion) or HR (Bad Brains) or Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies), just to name a few of the major American hardcore figures who certainly weren’t singing the national anthem during their concerts!!! Wasn’t that "real anger, not artificial"???
