Shark, let's not confuse communicativeness with mass success. A band like the Replacements (just to name one) was as communicative as Nirvana.

Bjork, you’re totally missing the mark: 1) me, fest, and donjunio listen to and appreciate all genres, including prog (check out our reviews and comments); 2) misogynistic punks??? where??? are you perhaps confusing them with hard-rockers (and who knew you were a woman?); 3) we’re not provoking anyone, we’re simply saying that in the 80s there were plenty of bands that proposed new music, even though they didn’t find success (because they weren’t driven by advertising hype).
