Damn, what an archeological review! It's clear that you're passionate about that era. You did a great rundown of 70s punk bands, but you left out the Ramones: on purpose? ;-)
Supreme Dicks The Emotional Plague

Many consider Twin Infinitives the TMR of the 90s; however, I believe that the TMR of the 90s is actually this Emotional Plague, because, although it is visibly distant from the Captain in terms of sound and atmospheres, it is based on the same underlying concept: the disintegration of harmony (uncoordinated counterpoints; guitars that seem to be going their own way; indefinable rhythm; compositions in continuous development that never reach a precise identity, etc...).
Decibel Vivo Da Re

Great Isis! I really missed this one: this album is super strange, it has something cabaret-like at times... anyway, for now I prefer the early Decibel, the guitar-heavy ones from '78 (the PUNK album)... while the first 45 RPM is really outdated, kitsch, ultra-electronic!! :-))) But were Chrisma Italian?

"Dream-pop has had several followers: at least akin to the CTs were Dead Can Dance in the '80s, along with Galaxie 500, Bel Canto, Hugo Largo, and the emanation of This Mortal Coil. And now? The late Mercury Rev and Sigur, indeed, but also Slowblow, the recently released Sparklehorse, and Devics. All dream pop or very closely related." <<< let's also throw in some MBV and certain Stereolab... after all, shoegazer owes a lot to the Gemelli...
