What a disgrace! :-((( Solo Iggy is conceptually useless, even though musically he is appreciated: LESBO-LOVE remains a classic. Long live the Stooges! (especially those from the first album)

What an amazing record!! Unbelievable! 40 minutes of whispers, scared synthesizers, sporadic percussion, Eskimos singing together in harmony, nature sounds... it seems like an amateurish stunt, but when you get to Festival of Death you hear Steve Reich and then you realize that the Residents really knew what they were doing in the field of avant-garde.

Well, ngw, I wouldn't know... the "hardcore" concept of sophistication doesn't exclude the dirty sound, the disordered rhythms, and the brutal screams... Bad Brains and Huskers (for example) made loud, chaotic music, seemingly just pure noise; in reality, they were much more refined than certain ultra-arranged and ultra-polished music... finesse, as I see it, doesn't mean "clean sound and composed form," but the ability to grasp the deepest nuances and highlight the most hidden emotional folds.
