Horrible review, not so much because it's short, but because it contains an average of one nonsense per sentence. The film is perhaps the ABSOLUTE masterpiece of the 90s.

One of the best American films of the late 60s; passionate review. Excellent!

I finally listened to it... the first impression was excellent... in fact, "industrial-jazz" is an apt description for this album, being soaked in fatalism and desolation... the comparison with the post-rock of Slint, however, still seems a bit obscure to me (from a formal point of view, since Slint were very geometric in their song structures, while SHJ sound much more chaotic)... what do you think, aris?

I've listened to half of it... I'll listen to the other half when I've repaired my eardrums... anyway, for now, I don't like it... I find it an arid, expressionless album, self-referential... and moreover, it seems to me that in terms of composition, these things were already being done 40 years ago with Riley (and then with Reich), so it doesn't seem like a particularly innovative album to me (of course, one might argue that for the first time minimalism has been adopted by rock... in reality, it's been since the Velvet Underground that rock has adopted "minimalist" techniques, but in a much more intelligent and flexible way than what has been done by Orthrelm, who have limited themselves to plagiarizing Riley and Reich in the most banal and academic manner). Disappointment.

Well... more than anything, what leaves one a bit perplexed is the choice to send three reviews (albeit very nice ones) of the same group on the same day... the DIJ already rub everyone the wrong way (except for me, mementomori, and sombraluz)... if they are then inflated in this way, it will necessarily increase the rejection towards them... anyway, congrats on the style :-)
